Queens 22-6093; June 7, 2006 Galleries

Queens 22-6093 (06/07/06) : On Wednesday June 7th, 2006 was Medal Day for the FDNY. The first due companies, Engine 303 and Ladder 126 were manned by detailed members that stepped up from surrounding companies (275, 133, 150, & 151). The original members of 303/126 were on the way to Meday Day in Manhattan. 303/126 also hosted the Collation for the medal winners of Queens. 

Shortly after 0900 hours, Queens box 6093 was transmitted for fire in a private dwelling on 133 Street off of Liberty Ave. with reports of people trapped. Due to the amount of calls, 4 Engines, 2 Trucks, Rescue 4, Squad 270 and Battalion 51 were assigned. The heavy smoke could be seen as 303 and 126 turned onto Liberty Avenue. Heavy fire greeted the first due companies.
